Welcome to the inaugural Scanner Industry Day Event (SIDE) hosted by the Pike District Partnership and Capital Tech Bridge and NSWC Carderock. We are thrilled to welcome you to the Pike District - North Bethesda’s Urban Core and home to a growing innovation economy in Montgomery County, Maryland.

3D scanning is a powerful digital tool that is used widely across a broad range of industries from healthcare to entertainment and is actively employed by Navy engineers, scientists and the fleet to quickly capture more effectively utilize additive manufacturing capabilities.

SIDE provides the 3D scanning industry, academia, government and military partners, with the opportunity to exchange information about 3D scanning and how existing commercial solutions can be leveraged to address a range of challenges.
